Asahikawa

Asahikawa's nightlife is less flashy than Sapporo's, but it's alive. Walk through the Heiwa-dori Shopping Park from the station, turn into the backstreets, and you'll see adult venue signs under neon lights.

The entertainment district spreads around JR Asahikawa Station, centered on the shopping park and its alleys. Among the restaurants and izakayas, you'll find delivery health, pink salons, and erotic massage shops scattered. There are no storefront soaplands; delivery-type services dominate.

There's no concentrated red-light district, but a few shops cluster in backstreets within walking distance of the station. Delivery health is relatively cheap, starting around ¥10,000 for 60 minutes. Pink salons offer quick, casual fun, but foreigner-friendly options are limited. Erotic massage leans toward relaxation menus, making it easier for tourists to try.

Most shops operate until midnight to 2 AM, with few early-morning options. Some refuse service if you don't speak Japanese, so call or email ahead. Credit cards are rarely accepted; cash is king.

Access is a 5–10 minute walk from JR Asahikawa Station, or a short taxi ride. Friday and Saturday nights are liveliest, but reservations are essential. Some shops have a 'no foreigners' policy, so research beforehand.
