VIP

VIP · vip

At adult venues it names a venue's own VIP membership tier, VIP room or VIP course; there is no industry-wide scheme.

Owner

オーナー · oona-

The venue's proprietor; the people a guest deals with are reception staff, and meeting the owner is rare.

Option

オプション · opushon

An extra service or item chosen on top of the basic course, free or paid, listed with its price on the price list.

Option Fee

オプション料 · opushon-ryou

The charge for each option you add, on top of the course fee; the price list gives an amount per option.

Cancellation

キャンセル · kyanseru

Calling off a booking; adult venues run on reservations, so tell them through the contact you booked with as soon as you know.

Cancellation Fee

キャンセル料 · kyanseru-ryou

What a venue charges for a last-minute cancellation or no-show; most often at delivery health once the woman has set off.

Campaign

キャンペーン · kyanpe-n

A venue's limited-time discount or perk; it usually applies only if you mention it when you book.

Credit Card

クレジットカード · kurejitto-kaado

Only some venues take cards, usually with a surcharge or conditions, so confirm when booking even where Card OK is shown.

Service Charge

サービス料 · saabisuryou

At adult venues this is the fee for the service itself; a soapland's price is split into a bath fee paid at reception and a service fee paid to the woman in the room.

Shower

シャワー · shawa-

The facility and time for washing before and after the service; shower time is normally counted within the course time.

Scout

スカウト · sukauto

Approaching women on the street or online to recruit them for adult or nightlife work, or the person doing it; distinct from a tout, who solicits customers.

Scout Man

スカウトマン · sukautoman

A man who approaches women in entertainment districts to recruit them for adult venues and the like, paid a referral fee by the venue; not a tout.

Delivery Health

デリヘル · deriheru

The outcall format: no venue of its own, and the woman you book by phone or online comes to your hotel or home; short for delivery health.

Dress Code

ドレスコード · doresuko-do

Adult venues have no dress rules: everyday clothes are fine at soaplands and store-based venues, and with delivery health there is nothing to dress for since the woman comes to you.

Online Booking

ネット予約 · netto-yoyaku

Booking through the venue's website form or a messaging app rather than by phone; many venues offer an online-booking discount.

Online Nomination

ネット指名 · netto-shimei

Nominating a woman for the first time from her profile on the venue's website when you book; most venues treat it like a photo nomination.

Panel Photo

パネル · paneru

The board of photos of the women on shift shown at reception of a store-based venue; choosing from it is a panel (photo) nomination.

Pink Salon

ピンサロ · pinsaro

Short for pink salon: a venue with partitioned seating rather than private rooms, offering short services, and classed in law as a restaurant-type business.

Free Companion

フリー · furi-

Using a venue without nominating anyone and letting it choose for you; there is no nomination fee, and some venues give a free discount.

Play

プレイ · purei

The trade word for what a course's service consists of, as in play content (プレイ内容) or NG play (what a woman does not do).

Health

ヘルス · herusu

Short for fashion health, the adult business type offering sexual services in private rooms; it comes in store-based, hotel and delivery forms.

Points

ポイント · pointo

A venue's own loyalty points, earned per visit and redeemed for discounts or perks; expiry and rules differ by venue.

Rip-off

ぼったくり · bottakuri

Demanding far more than the price stated beforehand; it happens at venues a tout led you to and as surcharges after the service.

Rip-Off Store

ぼったくり店 · bottakuri-ten

A venue that makes a practice of taking guests in without stating prices and billing outrageous sums afterwards.

Hotel Health

ホテルヘルス · hoteru-herusu

A form of health venue where you choose and pay at a reception office and receive the service in a nearby love hotel; shortened to hoteheru.

Mat Play

マット · matto

A soapland service performed on an inflatable mat with lotion; also called mat play.

Reservation

予約 · yoyaku

Adult venues run on reservations: soaplands almost always require one, and delivery health assumes you contact them in advance.

Transportation Fee

交通費 · koutsuu-hi

For dispatch formats such as delivery health, the charge on top of the course fee for the woman's travel to the meeting place; usually a flat amount by area.

Popular Companion

人気嬢 · ninki-jou

A woman with many nominations who appears near the top of the venue's ranking; her bookings fill fast.

Private Room

個室 · koshitsu

The single-occupancy room where the service takes place at a store-based adult venue; it is part of the course, with no extra charge.

Membership Fee

入会金 · nyuukaikin

A one-off fee paid the first time you use a venue that runs a membership system; you get a member card and pay nothing further on later visits.

Photo Message

写メ · shame

A photo taken on a mobile phone; used in compounds such as photo diary (写メ日記) and "no shame" (no photos).

Photo Diary

写メ日記 · shame-nikki

A woman's short blog with phone photos on the venue's website or a portal, where she posts shift notices and which gives a sense of her personality.

No Photo

写真NG · shashin-ng

Either a woman's profile not showing her face, or the ban on taking photos inside; the term is used for both.

Photo Nomination

写真指名 · shashin-shimei

Nominating a woman for the first time from her photos on the website or the reception panel, as distinct from the full nomination made on later visits.

First Visit

初回 · shokai

Your first time using a particular venue; most adult venues offer a first-visit discount, applied when you say it is your first time at booking.

Discount

割引 · waribiki

A conditional price reduction such as a first-visit, free, online booking, early-hours or new-face discount, applied when you claim it at booking.

Reception

受付 · uketsuke

The desk at a store-based venue where you say whether it is a first visit or a nomination, show ID, hear the prices and rules and pay; for delivery health, the phone or web desk plays this role.

In-Store Nomination

場内指名 · jounai-shimei

Choosing and nominating a woman after you arrive at a store-based venue, from the panel or those on standby, as distinct from nominating in advance.

Venue Fee

場所代 · bashodai

A plain word for the cost of the place where the service happens: the hotel room with delivery health or hotel health, and the bath fee (room use) built into a soapland's price.

Regular Customer

常連 · jyouren

A guest who keeps using the same venue or the same woman; at adult venues it usually means someone who keeps making full nominations.

Store-Based

店舗型 · tenpo-gata

The format in which you go to the venue for the service, as at soaplands and store-based health; the counterpart of the dispatch format (delivery health), where the woman comes to you.

Extension

延長 · enchou

Continuing beyond the course time; an extension fee is charged separately, and it may be refused if the woman has a next booking.

Extension Fee

延長料 · enchou-ryou

The extra charged per unit of time when you extend a course; the unit and amount are on the venue's price list.

Standby

待機 · taiki

A woman being on shift and waiting for a booking; "on standby" on a website means she can be seen right now.

Erotic Massage

性感マッサージ · seikan-massaji

An adult service built around massage, offered by venues notified as store-based or dispatch adult businesses.

Nomination

指名 · shimei

Choosing a particular woman when you book or use a venue; a nomination fee applies, and using a venue without nominating is called free.

Nomination Fee

指名料 · shimei-ryou

The fee added to the course fee when you request a specific woman; some venues price photo, online and full nominations differently.

New Face

新人 · shinjin

A woman who has recently joined the venue; her profile carries a new-face mark and she is often covered by a new-face discount.

Full Course

本コース · hon-ko-su

The venue's standard, full-length course on a price list, as opposed to a trial or short course.

Full Nomination

本指名 · hon-shimei

Nominating a woman you have been with before, as distinct from a photo or online nomination made the first time.

Dispatch

派遣 · haken

The outcall format in which the woman comes to the hotel or home you specify; called the dispatch type in contrast to store-based venues.

Late-Night Hours

深夜営業 · shinya-eigyou

Operating after midnight; store-based adult venues such as soaplands may not by law, so late-night use is mostly delivery health.

Cash

現金 · genkin

Cash is the default at adult venues; with delivery health you normally pay the woman in cash on arrival.

Flagship Companion

看板娘 · kanban-musume

The woman a venue puts forward as its face, on the top of its website and in its adverts; nominations concentrate on her.

Box Health

箱ヘル · hako-heru

Store-based fashion health, where the private rooms are inside the venue; a term used to tell it apart from delivery health and hotel health.

Forced Leave

追い出し · oidashi

The end-of-course call that tells you time is up and to leave the room; reviews talk of a venue's oidashi being early or harsh.

Pickup Service

送迎 · sougei

The venue's car collecting you from the nearest station or an agreed spot and taking you back afterwards; common at store-based venues, soaplands above all.

Illegal Store

違法店 · ihou-ten

A venue operating in breach of the Amusement Business Act or local ordinances: unregistered, in a prohibited area, or selling what the law does not allow.

Receipt

領収書 · ryoushuusho

Proof of payment, issued on request, but normally in the operating company's name with a generic description rather than the venue's name.
