Nomination
指名 · shimei
Also known as: shimei
Choosing a particular woman when you book or use a venue; a nomination fee applies, and using a venue without nominating is called free.
Shimei is choosing a specific woman to book or use the venue with. The first time you choose her it is a photo or online nomination, made from the photos on the venue's website or the panel at reception; choosing a woman you have been with before is a full nomination. Each carries a nomination fee, listed by type on the price list.
Leaving the choice to the venue is called free: no nomination fee, and some venues give a free discount. If you like a woman, note her name and nominate her when you next book. Ask the venue when you book whether a nomination fee is charged and how much.
When you'll encounter this
You hear it when the venue asks at booking whether you have a nomination, and see it in the nomination fee lines on a price list.
