The Naha City Tourism Association recommends the Yui Rail monorail for the Kokusai Street area, where roads tend to be congested. The line runs from Naha Airport through Asahibashi, Kencho-mae, Miebashi, Makishi, Omoromachi and Shuri to Tedako-Uranishi.
Beyond the main island, Okinawa's tourism site puts the Yaeyama Islands about an hour and the Miyako Islands about 50 minutes by air from Naha Airport. Ferries to the Kerama Islands leave from Tomari Port in Naha, about 10 minutes on foot from Miebashi Station.
Article 28 of the Entertainment Business Act bans storefront sex businesses within 200 m of schools and similar sites, and Article 8 of Okinawa's ordinance adds hospitals, clinics, community halls and museums to those sites. Under Article 9 and Appended Table 2, soaplands are banned in all 11 cities and 5 districts of the prefecture except blocks 10 to 22, 24 and 25 of Tsuji 2-chome in Naha.
Storefront fashion health shops and the reception offices of outcall services cannot operate anywhere in the prefecture under Articles 9 and 14 and Appended Table 3, which has no exceptions. Walk-in formats such as soaplands are limited to the places the ordinance allows; delivery health is an outcall format used at a hotel or another place you choose, and the area usually marks its reception or base.
From Naha Airport, Yui Rail takes you into the city: 11 minutes to Asahibashi, 13 to Kencho-mae, 14 to Miebashi, 16 to Makishi, 19 to Omoromachi and 27 to Shuri. The terminus, Tedako-Uranishi, is 37 minutes away.
By sea, a ferry leaves Kagoshima Shinko in the evening, calls at Motobu and reaches Naha Port the following night; Marix Line and Marue Ferry take turns on the route. Sailing times depend on sea conditions.
