New Face
新人 · shinjin
Also known as: shinjin
A woman who has recently joined the venue; her profile carries a new-face mark and she is often covered by a new-face discount.
Shinjin means a woman who has only recently started at that venue. The venue's website marks her as new in the cast list and on her profile for a set period, and at many venues she comes under a new-face discount; some waive or reduce the nomination fee for nominating a new face.
New means new to that venue, not necessarily new to the trade: a woman who has moved from another venue is shown as new as well. Because she has few photo diary entries or reviews yet, you go by her profile and the venue's introduction.
When you'll encounter this
You meet it as the new-face mark in a venue's cast list and in the new-face discount line on a price list.
