Toyama

Toyama Prefecture is a quiet prefecture on the Sea of Japan side of the Chubu region. Centered around the prefectural capital Toyama City, the area offers hot springs and natural scenery, attracting tourists, but the nightlife district is small and subdued.

The adult entertainment area in Toyama is scattered around Toyama Station and the Sogawa entertainment district. However, there is no dense red-light district like in major cities; shops are dispersed.

Toyama's adult industry is dominated by delivery health (deliheru). There are also a few hotel health and erotic massage shops, but soaplands and pink salons are virtually nonexistent in the prefecture. Prices are slightly lower than in urban areas, with deliheru typically costing 12,000–15,000 yen for 60 minutes.

For foreign visitors, options are limited, so it's necessary to check in advance via the shop's website or phone whether they can accommodate non-Japanese speakers. Most shops are Japanese-only, and English support is rare.

Access: about 2.5 hours from Tokyo by Hokuriku Shinkansen. There are many business hotels around Toyama Station, and using a delivery health service usually involves waiting at a hotel.

When visiting, contact the shop beforehand to confirm if they accept foreigners. Also, cash is the standard payment method; credit cards are often not accepted.
