Central Other Area

The Central Other Area in Fukuoka's Chuo Ward is a different beast from the massive entertainment districts of Nakasu or Tenjin. Adult shops are scattered throughout neighborhoods like Daimyo, Kego, and Akasaka, operating quietly. The night scene here is calm, frequented mostly by local regulars.

Geographically, it's within walking distance from Akasaka or Tenjin Station on the subway Airport Line. Daimyo has trendy cafes and bars, but backstreets hide soaplands and delivery health. Kego, near residential areas, has pink salons and erotic massage spots.

The adult scene isn't as dense as Nakasu, but options are sufficient. A few soaplands charge from ¥30,000, slightly cheaper than Nakasu. Delivery health is widespread, dispatching to hotels. Pink salons cluster in Kego, offering quick, affordable fun. A handful of SM clubs and erotic massage shops exist.

For foreign visitors, delivery health is the easiest to use, with more shops accepting non-Japanese speakers. Soaplands may refuse entry, but a phone call beforehand solves that. Pink salons often require Japanese.

Access is best by subway. Peak hours are 8 PM to midnight, though some shops open daytime. Cash is king; credit cards rarely accepted.

A word of caution: this area is near residences, so keep noise down. Avoid loitering in front of shops. Beware of touts and check reviews before visiting.
