Tenjin / Oyafuko-dori

Tenjin / Oyafuko-dori is the entertainment hub of Fukuoka City's Chuo Ward. By day it's a busy office district, but at night neon lights up and adult venues take over. Oyafuko-dori in particular has a gritty backstreet vibe with shops spilling into alleys.

Geographically, it's a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and right next to Tenjin Subway Station. The area is a mix of restaurants and adult businesses, with soaplands along the main street and side alleys, while delivery health and pink salons advertise on upper floors of buildings.

The adult scene is the largest in Kyushu: roughly 30 soaplands, numerous delivery health services, and over 10 pink salons. Prices are slightly cheaper than Tokyo or Osaka: soaplands from ¥15,000 for 30 minutes, delivery health from ¥10,000 for 60 minutes, pink salons from ¥5,000 for 30 minutes. Most shops cater to Japanese, but more are accepting foreigners.

Peak hours are 8 PM to 11 PM, especially busy on weekends. Soaplands often require reservations; walk-ins can be tough. Delivery health is typically called to a hotel, and there are many love hotels nearby. Pink salons are quick and easy, good for beginners.

For foreign visitors: some shops refuse service if you don't speak Japanese, so check in advance for foreigner-friendly places. Soaplands require ID (passport is fine). Delivery health usually delivers to hotels; avoid ordering to your home. The area is relatively safe but watch for pickpockets and touts. All services require you to be 20 or older.
