Ginan

Ginan's adult entertainment district spreads quietly along Route 21. The signs are modest, and at night the neon lights dimly illuminate the road. The clientele is mostly local salarymen and regulars; tourists are rarely seen.

The area is in southern Gifu Prefecture, northwest of Nagoya City. The nearest station is Ginan on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, but shops are scattered along the roadside a bit away from the station. Access by car is standard, and many shops have parking lots.

The types of adult venues are limited. There are a few soaplands, over a dozen delivery health shops, and several pink salons. Hotel health and erotic massage are almost nonexistent. The scale is small, and shops are not densely packed but rather scattered.

Prices are slightly cheaper than in Nagoya city. Soaplands run 15,000–25,000 yen for 60 minutes, delivery health 10,000–15,000 yen for 40 minutes, and pink salons 5,000–8,000 yen for 30 minutes. Foreigner-friendly service is generally not available. Without Japanese, it's tough.

Weekday nights are the best time to visit. Weekends get crowded with locals. Driving is convenient, but be careful not to drink and drive. Taking a taxi is also an option. Always confirm the price and service details before entering a shop.

Ginan isn't flashy, but it functions as a locally rooted adult district. Compared to Nagoya's downtown, it's quiet and suitable for those who want a relaxed time. However, English or Chinese support is almost nonexistent, so some Japanese preparation is necessary.
