Takamatsu City

Takamatsu's nightlife stirs when the neon lights of Kawaramachi flicker on. As the center of Kagawa Prefecture, the city retains a calm, provincial atmosphere, and its adult district is compact.

Pass through the arcade stretching south from Kawaramachi Station, and you enter an area dense with restaurants and snack bars. Scattered among them are soaplands and pink salons. The number of shops isn't large, but it's the biggest concentration in Shikoku.

The adult scene centers around the area from Kawaramachi Station south toward Kataharamachi. There are about 10 soaplands, nearly 20 pink salons, and many delivery health services. Prices are reasonable: soaplands around ¥10,000 for 30 minutes, pink salons around ¥3,000 for 15 minutes.

Delivery health mainly dispatches to hotels, using business hotels or love hotels in Takamatsu. Some shops don't speak English, so foreign visitors should check in advance. English-friendly shops are limited.

Access: 15-minute walk from JR Takamatsu Station, or a short walk from Kotoden Kawaramachi Station. Operating hours vary, but soaplands typically run from noon to midnight, pink salons from evening to 2 AM.

Note that Takamatsu's adult district is less flashy than in bigger cities. Signs are discreet, and first-timers might find it hard to locate. The clientele is mostly local, and the atmosphere can be somewhat insular. It's advisable to research online before visiting.
