Exit Oita Station's south gate, walk through the arcade shopping street, and you'll hit a street with scattered neon lights. This is Oita City's entertainment district, commonly called the "Minamimachi" area. It's not large, but regular locals and tourists mix, giving it a uniquely calm atmosphere.

The area is within a 5-10 minute walk from the station, so you won't get lost. The target shops line the alleys just off the main street. There are many restaurants and izakayas, so it looks like a normal shopping street during the day, but at night the touts come out and the vibe changes.

The main adult venue categories in Oita City are soaplands and delivery health. About 10 soaplands are clustered together, with prices ranging from ¥15,000 to ¥30,000 for 60 minutes—slightly cheaper than the national average.
