Kumagaya

When you exit Kumagaya Station, taxis line up at the north exit rotary, surrounded by local business hotels and izakayas. The station front has a calm, provincial atmosphere, but a short walk reveals adult shop signs.

The area is mainly within walking distance of the north and south exits of Kumagaya Station. On the north side, several soaplands are clustered together; on the south side, dispatch health and hotel health waiting rooms are scattered. Shops also dot the residential streets further from the station.

Kumagaya's adult district is not large, but soaplands are the core. Prices are cheaper than in Tokyo, with short courses ranging from ¥15,000 to ¥20,000. Delivery health is even more affordable, around ¥10,000. The clientele is mostly local men, not tourists.

Delivery health typically dispatches girls to hotels near the station. A few hotel health shops operate in partnership with love hotels. Pink salons and SM clubs are almost nonexistent. Overall, the scene is practical and lacks flashy gimmicks.

Access: about one hour from Tokyo on the JR Takasaki Line. There is ample parking near the station, making car visits convenient. Most shops open from early afternoon until late night; weekends are crowded.

This area is not familiar to foreign tourists, but if you speak Japanese, you can use the services. Soaplands often require Japanese for entry. Delivery health requires phone reservations, and communication after arriving at the hotel also demands Japanese. Do not expect English support.
