Kokura

Step out of Kokura Station and the neon lights of the entertainment district hit you. As the center of Kitakyushu City, it transforms from a business district by day to a nightlife hub by night.

The area splits into the south and north exits of Kokura Station, with the south side being the main entertainment zone. Back alleys are packed with small eateries and adult venues, creating a unique atmosphere.

Kokura's adult scene is centered around soaplands. Over a dozen are within walking distance of the station, with prices starting from around ¥10,000 per hour—very reasonable by national standards. Delivery health services are also plentiful, popular for their convenience of calling to your hotel. Pink salons offer quick, low-cost options.

Overall, the scale is smaller than Nakasu in Fukuoka City, but it has a more intimate, local feel. Shops are small and rely on word-of-mouth rather than flashy advertising.

Access is easy via Kokura Station, a hub for JR and monorail. It's about 15 minutes from Hakata by Shinkansen. Most shops operate until around 10 PM, so it's best to go early. For foreign visitors, some shops may not speak English, so check in advance.

Pricing and cancellations are strict. Be punctual and follow shop rules. English-friendly shops are limited, but more are starting to cater to foreign customers.
