Gotanda is in Shinagawa City and is known mainly as a residential area and business district. Gotanda Station is a major stop on the JR Yamanote Line and gives access to Sakurada-dori, one of Tokyo's main avenues; the neighbourhood straddles the Meguro River. Osaki, the next station, is also on the Yamanote; the riverside Gotanda Fureai Waterside Square is about 6 minutes on foot from Gotanda Station and 8 from Osaki.
The Meguro River runs nearly 8 kilometres before emptying into Tokyo Bay, and the stretch between Nakameguro and Gotanda stations is known for its greenery. In winter a stretch near Gotanda Station is lit up with a holiday lights display.
Meguro Station is the Yamanote stop next to Gotanda. Shirogane spreads east of it on the Minato City side; Minato's tourist map describes Shirokanedai as a quiet residential area dotted with history and nature.
This site splits the area into Meguro, Gotanda, Osaki and Shirogane. Walk-in formats such as soaplands cluster in particular blocks; delivery health is an outcall format used at a hotel or another place you choose, so for outcall venues the area usually marks the reception or base.
