Obu / Toyoake

Obu / Toyoake is a mixed residential and industrial area southeast of Nagoya. At night, neon signs along the main roads light up, marking the adult shops. It's not flashy, but it's a quiet pleasure district bustling with local regulars.

Geographically, shops are scattered along National Route 155 and prefectural roads, centered around JR Obu Station and Meitetsu Toyoake Station. Most are a bit far from the stations, so car access is standard. Almost all shops have parking, and many customers come by car.

The adult entertainment here is mainly delivery health (deliheru) and hotel health (hoteheru). Delivery health sends girls to your home or hotel, with rates around 12,000–18,000 yen for 60 minutes. Hotel health operates in partner hotels at similar prices. There are no pink salons or soaplands, and only a handful of SM clubs.

There are about 30–40 shops in total, scattered over several kilometers. Turnover is high, with new openings and closures frequent, so always check the latest info. Foreigner-friendly services are limited; many shops refuse if you don't speak Japanese.

Car is the most convenient access. From Nagoya, take the Nagoya Second Ring Road (Meini-kan) to Obu IC. By train, it's a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Obu Station. Business hours are generally noon to midnight, with weekends being busier.

If visiting for the first time, call ahead to confirm if they accept foreigners. For delivery health, choose a shop that allows hotel appointments. Few shops accept cashless payments, so bring plenty of cash.
