Kobe

Sannomiya and Motomachi

Sannomiya and Motomachi form the heart of Kobe for shopping, dining and sightseeing, and the best base for a visit. The Former Foreign Settlement is lined with high-end brand shops and cafes, and Motomachi holds Nankinmachi, a Chinatown packed with restaurants and shops. A short walk north of Sannomiya is Kitano, where foreign residences from the late 19th century still stand, within walking distance of Shin-Kobe Station.

Shin-Kobe is the Sanyo Shinkansen stop, linking Kyoto and Osaka to the east with Hiroshima and Kyushu to the west. Nunobiki Falls beside the station is a two-minute subway ride from Sannomiya. On the harbour side, Meriken Park holds the Port Tower and the Maritime Museum.

The airport and western Kobe

Kobe Airport is about 20 minutes from Sannomiya by Port Liner or airport bus, and the Bay Shuttle high-speed ferry crosses to Kansai International Airport in about 30 minutes. JR Sannomiya to Amagasaki is about 15 minutes by Special Rapid. In western Kobe, which includes Tarumi and Suma, Maiko looks out on the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, the world's second longest suspension bridge.

How RED LIGHT JAPAN divides Kobe

This site splits Kobe into Sannomiya, Motomachi and Tarumi. Walk-in formats such as soaplands cluster in particular blocks; delivery health is an outcall format used at a hotel or another place you choose, so for outcall venues the area usually marks the reception or base.
