Motomachi

Motomachi at night feels different from other parts of Kobe. A step away from Sannomiya's bustle, neon glows quietly in alleys that still smell of Showa. This is a local's scene, not flashy for tourists.

South of JR Motomachi Station, adjacent to the former foreign settlement, is the main area. One street off the main east-west drag, small signs line the lanes. Within walking distance of Sannomiya, but the vibe is calmer.

The adult district is small. A few soaplands, several delivery health (deliheru) bases, and a handful of pink salons (pinsaro). Few high-end shops; prices are reasonable. Soaplands start from the late 20,000 yen range, pink salons a few thousand yen for a short session.

Delivery health mainly dispatches to hotels; love hotels around Motomachi are common. Pink salons are in multi-tenant buildings near the station, easy to pop into. Foreigner acceptance varies by shop, but Japanese language skills help.

Access is excellent: a few minutes from JR Motomachi Station. Hanshin Motomachi Station is the same. Weekday nights are best; weekends get crowded with locals. Check shops online beforehand.

Note: Pink salons are generally no-touch. Soaplands require reservations. Delivery health charges hotel fees separately. English support is limited; bring simple Japanese or a translation app.
