Hanabatake

Hanabatake is a nightlife district east of Kumamoto Castle. At night, neon lights illuminate the streets, with restaurants and adult venues mixed together. Touts call out from doorways, and the area feels lively.

Geographically, it's a few minutes' walk from Hanabatake-cho tram stop on the Kumamoto City Tram. Located in the heart of the downtown area, surrounded by hotels and convenience stores, access is convenient. The area is compact and walkable.

The adult scene in Hanabatake is centered on soaplands. Several soaplands are clustered here, with prices starting around ¥10,000 for 30 minutes, standard for a regional city. There are also a few delivery health (deliheru) shops that dispatch girls to hotels. Fashion health and pink salons are rare.

Soaplands here are mostly the 'box health' type, with private rooms. Delivery health requires advance booking and sends girls to your hotel or home. For foreign visitors, choosing a shop where Japanese is spoken or contacting them in advance is necessary.

Best visited after 8 PM when the area is busiest. Weekends can be crowded, so reservations are recommended. Soaplands may require ID at entry; bring your passport. English support is limited, so learning a few Japanese phrases helps.

Note that police patrol the area regularly. Follow shop rules to avoid trouble. Ignore street touts. It's best to research reliable shops beforehand.
