Ishinomaki/Yamoto/Kesennuma

The Ishinomaki, Yamoto, and Kesennuma area is a group of port towns on the Pacific side of the Tohoku region. Ishinomaki flourished with fishing and paper-pulp industries, while Kesennuma is famous for its bonito and shark landings. Yamoto, part of Ishinomaki City, is a mix of residential areas and commercial facilities.

Geographically, it stretches along the Sanriku coast about 50 km east of Sendai. The main entertainment districts are around Ishinomaki Station, Yamoto Station, and Kesennuma Station. During the day, restaurants and shops line the streets; at night, neon lights come on.

The adult entertainment scene here is smaller than in Sendai, with locally oriented shops scattered around. The main categories are delivery health (deliheru) and fashion health. Delivery health typically dispatches girls to hotels, with rates around 12,000–18,000 yen for 60 minutes. Access: From Sendai, take the JR Senseki Line to Ishinomaki (about 1 hour) or the Kesennuma Line to Kesennuma (about 2 hours). A car is convenient. Most shops operate from 8 PM to around midnight. Advance phone reservations are standard, and many shops require Japanese language skills. It may be challenging for foreign tourists.

Local adult entertainment info can be found in free magazines at convenience stores near stations or on regional internet bulletin boards. However, most information is in Japanese, so prepare a translation tool. If you want a wider selection, returning to Sendai is recommended, as the options there are significantly greater.
