Joetsu/Kashiwazaki

Joetsu and Kashiwazaki are regional cities on Niigata's Sea of Japan coast. The adult entertainment scene is small-scale but locally rooted, with shops scattered around station areas and main roads. Access: From Tokyo, take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa, then transfer to a local train (about 1.5 hours total). Direct limited express trains also serve Kashiwazaki. Typical operating hours are 8 PM to midnight, varying by shop.
