Joetsu and others

Joetsu City is a port town in southwestern Niigata Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan. The city center is compact, with quiet residential areas just a short walk from the station. At night, neon lights illuminate the drinking districts around the station, but it's not a major entertainment hub.

Geographically, the main stations are Joetsumyoko Shinkansen station and Naoetsu station on the local line. Adult venues are scattered mainly around Naoetsu station and along National Route 8. The area is spread out, so a car may be needed to move between shops.

The adult scene in Joetsu consists of a few soaplands, over a dozen delivery health services, and several pink salons. Soaplands are concentrated in the entertainment district north of Naoetsu station, with prices around 15,000–25,000 yen for 60 minutes. Delivery health covers the entire area, typically 10,000–15,000 yen for 60 minutes. Pink salons are in multi-tenant buildings near the station, offering quick and easy service.

For foreign visitors, soaplands may have limited Japanese language support, making delivery health or pink salons more accessible. However, delivery health often requires hotel arrangements, so check in advance. Pink salons are counter-style, with reasonable rates around 5,000 yen for 30 minutes.

Access: about 2 hours from Tokyo by Joetsu Shinkansen to Naoetsu station. By car, use the Joetsu IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. Weekday evenings are recommended, as weekends get crowded with locals. If you don't speak Japanese, contact shops by phone or email beforehand, or look for foreigner-friendly establishments.

Joetsu is also attractive as a tourist destination, with fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan and hot springs. Even without adult entertainment, it's a place to relax. However, the number of adult venues is limited, so it's best to gather information before visiting.
