Kashiwazaki

Walking around Kashiwazaki station, you feel the quiet typical of a regional city. The sea breeze and the neon lights that start flickering in the evening hint at the city's night face. Adult shops are scattered in alleys within walking distance from the station—nothing flashy, but frequented by local regulars.

Geographically, shops cluster just off the main street near Kashiwazaki Station. Along with Joetsu, this is one of Niigata's adult entertainment areas, but compact. The station front has business hotels and restaurants, making it convenient for nighttime visits.

Kashiwazaki's adult scene centers on delivery health (deliheru) and pink salons. Deliheru is mostly hotel dispatch type, with rates around ¥12,000–18,000 for 60 minutes. Pink salons offer short sessions, typically ¥5,000–8,000 for 30 minutes. There are fewer than ten shops, so choices are limited, but most are locally operated.

There are no SM clubs or soaplands, and almost no erotic massage shops. If you're looking for specific services, you'll need to research beforehand. Overall, the area targets business travelers and locals rather than tourists.

Access: from Tokyo, take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa, then transfer to a local line—about 2.5 hours total. Most shops are within a 5-minute walk from Kashiwazaki Station. Typical hours: deliheru noon–midnight, pink salons 5pm–midnight.

For foreign visitors, the language barrier is a challenge. Deliheru usually requires phone reservations in Japanese. Pink salons may accept walk-ins, but you might be refused. English support is rare; if you don't speak Japanese, consider bringing a companion or using an interpreter service.
