Step out of Shinjuku Station, and the neon lights and crowds swallow you. Exit the east gate, and you're in Kabukicho. The pulse of this city that never sleeps echoes through every alley.

The area is broadly divided into Kabukicho, Shinjuku Sanchome, and the slightly farther Okubo area. Kabukicho is the adult entertainment hub, with every genre available. Shinjuku Sanchome is also known as a gay town, with adult bars and clubs, but some adult shops exist there too.

The adult scene is overwhelming. Soaplands: a handful in central Kabukicho, from high-end to budget. Delivery health: hundreds of shops across the area, hotel health similarly abundant. Access: Shinjuku Station is the nearest. JR, subway, and private railways converge, making it easy from anywhere. Business hours vary by shop, but most adult shops operate from afternoon until late night. Pink salons and some delivery health services are open until early morning.
