Ayase / Takenotsuka

Ayase and Takenotsuka are downtown areas located in eastern Tokyo. By day, they are quiet residential neighborhoods, but at night, neon lights illuminate the streets near the stations, and adult shop signs become prominent. The area bustles with local regulars and men seeking affordable prices.

Ayase Station is served by the JR Joban Line and Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, while Takenotsuka Station is on the Tobu Skytree Line. Numerous delivery health and hotel health shops are scattered within walking distance of both stations. The main concentrations are around the west exit of Ayase Station and the east exit of Takenotsuka Station.

The adult entertainment scene here is centered on delivery health (deliheru) and hotel health (hoteheru). Pink salons and soaplands are almost nonexistent. Prices are lower than in central Tokyo's entertainment districts, with many shops offering 60-minute sessions starting around 10,000 yen, making them popular with budget-conscious customers.

Shops range from small to medium scale, with many individually operated. Services are generally standard, suited for those looking for a casual experience rather than extreme options. Foreigner-friendly shops are limited, and you may be turned away if you don't speak Japanese.

Access: from Tokyo Station, it's about 20 minutes to Ayase Station by JR, and about 30 minutes to Takenotsuka Station by Tobu Line. Business hours typically run from early afternoon until late night, and weekends are crowded. If visiting for the first time, it's advisable to call or email ahead to confirm if they accept foreign customers.

The atmosphere is friendly and local, without the flashiness of tourist areas. Many shops have a loyal customer base, and repeat visitors are common. However, streets away from the stations can be dark at night, so walk carefully.
