Aomori

Aomori Prefecture sits at the northern tip of Tohoku, a transport hub connecting Honshu and Hokkaido. Adult venues are scattered mainly in Aomori City, Hachinohe, and Hirosaki, but there's no large red-light district like in Tokyo or Osaka.

In central Aomori City, you'll find a few soaplands, about a dozen delivery health services, and a handful of pink salons. Hachinohe and Hirosaki have similar setups, but all are small-scale with limited choices. Prices are slightly lower than in urban areas: a standard soapland course runs ¥15,000–20,000 per hour.

Venues are scattered near stations or along main roads, not concentrated in one area. It's best to research online beforehand. Services for foreign tourists are rare; Japanese language ability is generally required.

If you plan to use adult services in Aomori, advance booking is essential. Soaplands in particular can be hard to book on the same day. Also, many shops close early, so options dwindle after 8 PM.

Access: about 3 hours by Shinkansen from Tokyo, or 1.5 hours by plane. Within Aomori City, buses and taxis are convenient, but renting a car may be better since venues are spread out.
