Kanazawa Katamachi

Kanazawa Katamachi is the nightlife hub within walking distance of Kanazawa Station. When night falls, neon lights flicker over rows of restaurants and adult venues. The area bustles with local office workers and tourists, making it one of Ishikawa's most famous entertainment districts.

The district centers around the Katamachi intersection, extending toward Korinbo and along the Sai River. The main streets are lined with izakayas and bars, while adult shops are tucked away on side streets and in multi-tenant buildings. It's not as large as Tokyo or Osaka, but it's compact and easy to navigate.

In terms of adult venue types, delivery health (deliheru) is the most common, followed by hotel health (hoteheru) and pink salons (pinsaro). There are also a few SM clubs. Soaplands are not found in Kanazawa City; you'd need to go to neighboring Hakusan City for that.

Price ranges are slightly lower than in major cities: delivery health runs about ¥15,000–20,000 for 60 minutes, hotel health ¥12,000–18,000 for 60 minutes, and pink salons ¥5,000–8,000 for 30 minutes. Most shops are locally oriented and operate primarily in Japanese, though some may accommodate foreign customers.

Access: about 10 minutes by bus from Kanazawa Station, alighting at the "Katamachi" stop, or a 20-minute walk. Operating hours vary but typically run until midnight or 2 AM. Since Kanazawa is a tourist destination, you can combine daytime sightseeing with evening adult entertainment in Katamachi.

For foreign visitors, it's advisable to call or email ahead to confirm if English or other languages are supported. Many shops are cash-only, so bring enough yen. Katamachi is relatively safe, but exercise caution when walking alone late at night.
