Matsumoto and Shiojiri

Matsumoto and Shiojiri are tourist cities surrounded by the mountains of Nagano Prefecture. Famous for Matsumoto Castle and national treasure museums, they are bustling with tourists during the day, but the nightlife entertainment district is small and quiet.

Geographically, the area around Matsumoto Station is the center, with Shiojiri located to the south. Adult shops are scattered in residential areas and business hotel districts a bit away from the station, with no concentrated red-light district.

The adult entertainment scene in Matsumoto and Shiojiri is dominated by delivery health (deliheru) and hotel health (hoteheru). There are fewer than 10 shops, and no soaplands, pink salons, or SM clubs. Prices range from 15,000 to 25,000 yen for 60 minutes, standard for a regional city.

Most delivery health shops send girls to hotels, while hotel health shops are often attached to love hotels. Foreigner-friendly services are limited, and it may be difficult to use without Japanese language skills.

Access: about 2.5 hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen, get off at Matsumoto Station. To find adult shops, internet search is convenient. Business hours are mostly from 8 PM to midnight, with very few daytime operations.

When using, advance reservation by phone or email is required. Communication is basically in Japanese, and English support is not expected. Also, Nagano Prefecture has strict regulations on adult businesses, so beware of illegal shops.
