Ishiyama

Step out of the rotary at Ishiyama Station and you're in a typical provincial city scene: chain izakayas, supermarkets, ordinary streets. Walk about ten minutes into the residential area and you'll start seeing neon signs pop up here and there.

Ishiyama is in the southern part of Otsu City, about 15 minutes from Kyoto on the JR Biwako Line. The station area has commercial facilities, but the adult shops are scattered on quiet streets a short walk away.

The adult scene here is very small: two or three soaplands and a few delivery health services. Soapland prices run around ¥20,000 for 60 minutes, slightly cheaper than in Osaka or Kyoto. Delivery health mainly dispatches to hotels, starting from ¥10,000 for 30 minutes.

Soaplands operate from evening to late night; delivery health runs from afternoon to late night. The clientele is a mix of local salarymen and tourists. Some shops may accommodate foreigners, but Japanese language ability is generally expected.

Access is a 10–15 minute walk from JR Ishiyama Station. You can also take a taxi from the station rank. Weekday evenings are best; weekends get crowded with locals. Reservations are essential for soaplands; some delivery health shops accept same-day phone calls.
