Shimonoseki City

The night in Shimonoseki falls quietly with the wind crossing the Kanmon Strait. The neon lights of the downtown area are modest compared to Hiroshima or Fukuoka, and the back alleys are lined with old-fashioned snack bars and drinking establishments. Among them, adult venues are discreetly scattered.

Walking southeast from Shimonoseki Station, you'll find an area of narrow, winding alleys. This is locally known as the 'Shimonoseki adult district.' However, the signage is subtle, and at first glance it looks like an ordinary shopping street.

The adult scene here centers on delivery health and pink salons. Delivery health services are dispatched to hotels, with rates around 12,000–20,000 yen for 60 minutes. Pink salons offer short sessions, typically 30 minutes for 5,000–8,000 yen. There are only about 10 shops, so options are limited.

There are no soaplands or SM clubs. Also, almost no shops cater to foreigners, so it's difficult to use without Japanese language skills. The clientele is mostly local regulars, not tourists.

Access is within a 10-minute walk from JR Shimonoseki Station. Operating hours: delivery health from evening to late night, pink salons from afternoon to midnight. Visiting on a weekday evening is quieter.

Note that this area is adjacent to residential neighborhoods, so making noise is strictly prohibited. Also, beware of touts and street solicitation; it's safer to book directly through the shop's official website or by phone.
