Nishinomiya/Amagasaki/Itami/Takarazuka

Stretching along the Hanshin Electric Railway line, this area is a cluster of bedroom communities between Osaka and Kobe. By day, quiet residential streets and shopping centers dominate, but at night, the neon signs of adult shops flicker on here and there.

Nishinomiya centers around Hanshin Nishinomiya Station, Amagasaki around Hanshin Amagasaki and JR Amagasaki stations, Itami around Hankyu Itami Station, and Takarazuka around Hankyu Takarazuka Station. Each station front has a scattering of bars and adult venues, but rather than a large entertainment district, it's a dispersed collection of small shops.

The adult scene is dominated by delivery health and hotel health. Soaplands are virtually nonexistent, and pink salons are very few. Delivery health often uses love hotels near the station, with rates around ¥12,000–20,000 for 60 minutes. Hotel health includes the room fee, typically ¥15,000–25,000. A few SM clubs and erotic massage shops exist but are scarce.

Foreigner acceptance varies by shop. Delivery health usually requires Japanese language ability, and English support is limited. Some hotel health shops are more accommodating, but advance confirmation is necessary. You may be asked to show your residence card.

Access from Osaka takes 20–30 minutes on the Hanshin line, similar from Kobe. Most shops operate until midnight to 2 AM. Friday and Saturday nights are busiest, but wait times are generally short. Convenience stores and love hotels near stations are plentiful.
