Hitachi

Stepping out of Hitachi Station, the wind from the sea carries the smell of the industrial zone. This city is a business and industrial hub by day, but at night, silence takes over. There is no real entertainment district, and adult shops are scattered.

Geographically, the area around Hitachi Station is the center, with a few restaurants and business hotels. Adult shops are located a bit away from the station, in residential areas or along main roads.

Hitachi's adult scene is very small, mainly a few delivery health (deliheru) shops. There are no pink salons or soaplands, and hotel health is rare. Prices are slightly cheaper than the Tokyo area, around 12,000–15,000 yen for 60 minutes.

Most shops are small, often owner-operated, with simple websites. Foreigner-friendly service is not expected, so Japanese booking is necessary.

Access is about 2 hours from Ueno on the JR Joban Line. There are several business hotels near Hitachi Station. It's not worth visiting solely for adult entertainment, but if you're staying, check with shops in advance.

Note that delivery health is almost the only option in Hitachi. Also, shop hours often don't extend late into the night. Call or email ahead to confirm availability.
