Hitachinaka / Surrounding Area

Hitachinaka is a town where the sea and industrial zones mix. At night, neon lights quietly glow along the national highway and in corners of residential areas. Regular local customers are the mainstay; there's no flashy tourist atmosphere.

The area centers on Hitachinaka City, extending to neighboring Naka City and Tokai Village. Shops are scattered, not clustered in one spot. Car travel is essential.

The core of adult entertainment is soaplands. Though few in number, many shops maintain a traditional style. Prices are cheaper than in the city, with short-time courses being the norm. There are also a few delivery health and fashion health shops, offering hotel dispatch or in-store services.

Pink salons and SM clubs are almost nonexistent. Overall, the scene is small-scale and community-oriented, with few flashy services for tourists.

Access is convenient via the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway or Joban Line, but shops are far from stations. Taxi or rental car is a must. Business hours generally run from afternoon to late night.

Foreign customers may be turned away if they don't speak Japanese. It's necessary to check in advance by phone or find shops that accommodate foreigners. Cash payment is standard; credit cards are often not accepted.
