Beppu's night blends steam and neon. Walking down the station-front street, you'll see soaplands and pink salons with flashy signs. Many shops cater to tourists, and prices are cheaper than Tokyo.
Shops are scattered around Beppu Station, in the northern hot spring district and the southern downtown area. All are within walking distance from the station. Taxis can quickly take you to delivery health bases in the suburbs.
Soaplands are concentrated near the station and in the Kitahama area. Prices range from ¥15,000 to ¥20,000 for 60 minutes. There are a few pink salons on the station-front street, offering quick and easy fun. Delivery health can be called to hotels or homes, but many shops require Japanese language skills.
For foreign tourists, a few soaplands offer English support. However, reservations are usually by phone or in person. Online reservations are often Japanese-only.
Business hours are generally from noon to midnight. Some shops are closed on Sundays and holidays. If you want to combine with hot springs, a good flow is hot springs during the day and adult entertainment at night.
A note of caution: some shops in Beppu set tourist prices. Check prices in advance to avoid being overcharged. Also, some shops may not accept foreigners, so confirm before entering.
It depends on the venue. Each venue page lists the languages it handles, and the “English OK” filter in search narrows results to venues with English support.
Payment methods vary by venue. Check the listing and confirm with the venue before booking.
