Kurashiki Station Area

Step out of Kurashiki Station, and unlike the tourist-packed Bikan historical quarter, the back alleys have a modest neon glow. This is Kurashiki's night face—the adult entertainment district. The quiet shopping streets by day become a flow of suited businessmen and local regulars after dark.

The area splits into the north and south exits of the station, with most adult shops concentrated in the alleys just off the north exit's main street. A few shops exist on the south side, but the scale is smaller. It's a compact area you can cover on foot, hard to get lost even on your first visit.

The adult scene around Kurashiki Station centers on soaplands. Five or six soaplands cluster in the north exit alleys, with rates around 15,000–25,000 yen for 90 minutes—standard for a regional city. Several delivery health services operate, mostly the hotel-call type. Pink salons number two or three in a multi-tenant building near the station, offering quick, cheap fun.

Most soaplands offer full intercourse, but foreigner acceptance varies by shop. Some refuse if you don't speak Japanese, though English-friendly shops are increasing. Delivery health usually requires a hotel and advance booking. Pink salons are cheap (from 3,000 yen for 10 minutes) and easy to enter, but service is oral only.

Access is a short walk from JR Kurashiki Station. The station isn't on the Shinkansen line, but it's 15 minutes by local train from Okayama Station. Taxis are easy to find at night. Weekday evenings are best; weekends get crowded with locals.

Tips for foreign visitors: Soaplands may ask for ID at entry—bring your passport. Pink salons might refuse entry if you don't speak Japanese. Learning a few basic phrases helps.
