Step into Mizushima and the first things you notice are the factory complexes and smoke rising from chimneys. Located in southern Kurashiki along the Seto Inland Sea, this area is a hub for Japan's heavy chemical industry. During the day, trucks and workers move through the streets, giving it a practical, no-nonsense atmosphere. At night, the factories light up, but there are no neon signs of an entertainment district.

Geographically, Mizushima is about 10 kilometers south of Kurashiki Station, a 30-minute bus ride. The surrounding area has scattered residential blocks and small shops, but it's not a place tourists visit. It stands in stark contrast to historic spots like the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter—this is purely an industrial town.

Regarding adult services, Mizushima has virtually no concentration of adult venues. Soaplands, delivery health, fashion health, pink salons, SM clubs, dating clubs, erotic massage—none of these categories are found here.
