Hyotan-yama

Hyotan-yama is a quiet residential area around a Kintetsu Nara Line station. Step out of the station rotary, and a shopping street stretches out, with adult shops tucked away in the backstreets.

The area is compact, with most shops within a 5-minute walk from the station. It consists of a few soaplands and a few delivery health services, giving it a low-key atmosphere unlike large entertainment districts.

The density of adult venues is low, and signage is discreet. Soaplands here are relatively affordable, catering mainly to local regulars. Delivery health services typically dispatch to hotels, often using business hotels near the station.

Foreign tourists rarely visit, and some shops may refuse entry without Japanese language ability. However, some soaplands do accept foreign customers.

Access: about 20 minutes from Osaka Namba on the Kintetsu Nara Line. Exit the north gate of Hyotan-yama Station, walk through the shopping street, and find the shops in the alleys beyond. Business hours generally run from early afternoon to late night.

If you plan to visit, it's advisable to check in advance by phone or web whether foreign customers are accepted. Also, since it's a residential area, be mindful of noise and manners late at night.
