Akatsuka/Narimasu

Akatsuka and Narimasu are quiet residential neighborhoods spreading out from the stations on the Tobu Tojo Line. During the day, families and shoppers keep the streets lively, but at night foot traffic thins out and the atmosphere becomes subdued.

Geographically, they sit on the border of Itabashi and Nerima wards, about 15 minutes by train from Ikebukuro. Narimasu Station has shopping streets at both north and south exits, while Akatsuka Station is even more tranquil.

The adult entertainment scene here is centered on delivery health (deliheru) and hotel health (hoteheru). The number of shops is small—fewer than ten in total. Prices are reasonable: delivery health runs around ¥10,000 for 60 minutes, and hotel health is similar plus hotel room fee.

Most delivery health shops operate from apartments near Narimasu Station, while hotel health shops partner with nearby love hotels. Foreigner-friendly services are limited; you may be turned away if you don't speak Japanese.

Access is easy: from Ikebukuro, take the Tobu Tojo Line express to Narimasu (about 10 minutes) or local to Akatsuka (15 minutes). Typical business hours are from early afternoon until late night.

If you visit, it's best to call or email ahead to confirm if they accept foreign customers. Meeting at a convenience store or family restaurant near the station is a safe bet.
