Nippori is a northern Tokyo neighbourhood that GO TOKYO associates with its textile district and temple grounds. JR, Keisei and the Nippori-Toneri Liner meet at Nippori Station.
According to GO TOKYO, Nippori Station is served by the JR Yamanote, Joban and Keihin-Tohoku lines, the Keisei railway and the Nippori-Toneri Liner: three JR lines plus Keisei and the Nippori-Toneri Liner, five line names in all for a single station.
GO TOKYO introduces Nippori through the Nippori Textile District, known as Tokyo's fabric town, together with its temple grounds and the Arakawa Yuen amusement park. The guide thus pictures an area with two quite different sides, fabric shopping and temple precincts.
The Ueno/Asakusa/Nippori area is not yet covered by any listing on this site. If listed venues appear, this page will display them. For Tokyo's current listings, please open the Tokyo page.
The town name Nippori does not come up in the police table of touting zones updated on 31 March 2016. That table sets out blocks in 19 special wards and six cities, and the current designations are to be confirmed with the police. Whether or not a zone applies, Article 11 of the Tokyo ordinance keeps store-type sex businesses and similar types shut from midnight until six in the morning.
It depends on the venue. Each venue page lists the languages it handles, and the “English OK” filter in search narrows results to venues with English support.
Payment methods vary by venue. Check the listing and confirm with the venue before booking.
