Kofu

Step out of the north exit of Kofu Station, and you're greeted by a calm, regional city streetscape. At night, neon signs from adult shops begin to stand out in the multi-tenant buildings and back alleys near the station.

The adult entertainment district in Kofu is compact, within a few minutes' walk from the station's north exit. Delivery health and pink salon shops are scattered along side streets off the main road. There are also many hotels near the station, and some hotel health services.

The core of the scene is delivery health and pink salons. Delivery health typically dispatches girls to hotels around the station, with rates around ¥12,000–20,000 for 60 minutes. Pink salons offer quick, casual sessions, often ¥5,000–8,000 for 30 minutes. SM clubs and erotic massage are rare.

As a regional city, the number of shops is smaller than in Tokyo or Osaka, but many have a more intimate, friendly atmosphere. For foreign visitors, it's best to choose shops where Japanese is spoken or contact them in advance.

Access: about 1.5 hours from Shinjuku on the JR Chuo Line limited express. The station area is walkable. Most shops operate from early afternoon until late night. Friday and Saturday nights are busiest, but reservations can be harder to get on weekends.

If visiting for the first time, check local info magazines or online beforehand. Some shops may not accept foreigners, so confirm before entering.
