Kanayama is the district around Kanayama Station, a major interchange in Nagoya. The visitors bureau introduces it together with Osu as the Osu and Kanayama area.
According to the visitors bureau, Kanayama Station is served by the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, the JR Chuo and Tokaido main lines, and the Meijo and Meiko lines of the Nagoya Municipal Subway. With many transfers between operators, deciding your route and time home in advance makes getting around easier.

The area around Kanayama Station is the Kanayama no-touting zone set by Nagoya City, designated on October 1, 2018. It covers Kanayama 1, 2 and 4-chome and Kanayama-cho 1-chome in Naka Ward, plus Kanayama-cho 1 and 2-chome in Atsuta Ward. Breaching a city order can lead to a non-penal fine.
