Also known as meieki-/-nakamura-ward
Meieki / Nakamura Ward covers Nagoya Station and the surrounding part of Nakamura Ward. The visitors bureau explains that locals call the station Meieki.
The visitors bureau notes that JR, the subway, Kintetsu and Meitetsu all meet at Nagoya Station, and the city transportation bureau's list shows the Higashiyama and Sakura-dori subway lines stopping there. Each operator has its own gates, so find the platform for your line before you head over.
The Nagoya Convention & Visitors Bureau calls Nagoya Station the gateway to sightseeing in Nagoya, with large shopping complexes and underground malls spreading around it. This page has no listings yet. When they are added they will show here; in the meantime, Nagoya's listings are on the Nagoya page and, by district, the Nishiki page.
The streets around Nagoya Station form the city's Nagoya Station no-touting zone, covering Takehashi-cho, Tsubaki-cho, Meieki 1 to 4-chome and Noritake 2-chome in Nakamura Ward. Touting there, or having someone tout for you, is prohibited. The city moves from guidance to a recommendation to an order, and breaching an order can bring a non-penal fine.
It depends on the venue. Each venue page lists the languages it handles, and the “English OK” filter in search narrows results to venues with English support.
Payment methods vary by venue. Check the listing and confirm with the venue before booking.
