When you step out of Takasaki Station, the calm atmosphere of a northern Kanto business district spreads out. Buses and taxis move around the station rotary, with local office workers and travelers passing by. At night, the neon lights are modest, but the back streets quietly harbor adult playgrounds.

Access is convenient via JR Takasaki Line. About 1 hour from Tokyo, or 50 minutes by Shinkansen. There are many business hotels near the station, so you can combine accommodation with your visit. Business hours are generally from afternoon until late night, with weekends being busy.

If it's your first visit, check the information magazines available near the station. They list shop locations and prices. However, maps can be outdated, so walking around to confirm is reliable. If taking a taxi, just say "eki nishiguchi no kairaku-gai" (west exit entertainment district).
