Himeji is an area in Himeji City, Hyogo. The city has rebuilt Otemae-dori, the avenue linking JR Himeji Station with Himeji Castle, as its main street.
The Himeji Convention & Visitors Bureau gives about 37 minutes from Sannomiya to JR Himeji Station. On the shinkansen it is about 28 minutes from Shin-Osaka, with the bureau's caveat that some Nozomi trains do not stop at Himeji.
Himeji City describes Otemae-dori as the street running from Himeji Station to Himeji Castle and has redeveloped it as the city's main street. The route from the station plaza toward the castle forms the core of the town.
Should Himeji listings be added, this page will display them. Listings within Hyogo are reached from the Hyogo page; the Akashi/Himeji/Kakogawa page has none at present either.
Hyogo Prefecture's anti-touting ordinance has been in force since 1 April 2015, but no Himeji district appears among the no-touting zones the prefecture publishes. Outside the zones it is still prohibited for touts to keep after someone who has said no, and the governor can step in with guidance.
It depends on the venue. Each venue page lists the languages it handles, and the “English OK” filter in search narrows results to venues with English support.
Payment methods vary by venue. Check the listing and confirm with the venue before booking.
