Sagamihara City

Sagamihara City is a city of about 700,000 people in northern Kanagawa Prefecture. It's a bedroom community within commuting distance of Tokyo, yet retains plenty of nature. During the day, the station areas are busy with families and students, but at night, adult shop signs become more prominent.

The adult entertainment district centers around JR Sagamihara Station and Odakyu Sagami-Ono Station. Within walking distance of these stations, delivery health (delihe) and hotel health (hoteheru) shops are concentrated. In particular, the back streets north of Sagamihara Station have dozens of delihe shops operating late into the night.

The sex industry in Sagamihara is dominated by delihe and hoteheru, with almost no soaplands or pink salons. Prices are relatively reasonable: for delihe, 60 minutes typically costs ¥12,000–¥15,000. Hoteheru requires a separate hotel fee, but the total often stays under ¥20,000.

Most shops operate out of multi-tenant buildings or apartment rooms near the stations. Flashy neon signs are rare; discreet signage is the norm. Shops catering to foreign tourists are limited, but if you speak Japanese, you'll have no trouble.

Access: about 40 minutes from Shinjuku on the JR Yokohama Line, or 30 minutes on the Odakyu Line. Peak hours are from 10 PM to 2 AM. First-timers can get information from station-area information centers or hotel front desks, but calling the shop directly is most reliable.

Note: Sagamihara City has relatively strict regulations on adult businesses, with possible restrictions on late-night operation. Also, since delihe typically dispatches to hotels, it's advisable to secure a hotel room in advance.
