Also known as waseda-area
The Waseda area is a student quarter centred on Waseda University, as the Shinjuku tourism association describes it. Used-book shops continue along Waseda-dori, the road running from Takadanobaba toward the university.
The Shinjuku tourism association lists Takadanobaba as a station on the JR Yamanote Line. It treats Waseda-dori, heading from Takadanobaba toward Waseda University, as the spine of the used-book district, and that road is the route linking Takadanobaba Station with the Waseda neighbourhood.
According to the Shinjuku tourism association, Waseda and Takadanobaba make up a student town centred on Waseda University. The association also presents the area mainly along Waseda-dori, from Takadanobaba toward the university, as one of Tokyo's notable districts for secondhand bookshops.
