Nishifunabashi is the area around Nishi-Funabashi Station in western Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, which the city calls its western gateway.
Funabashi City's planning document says four lines serve Nishi-Funabashi Station: the JR Sobu and Musashino lines, the Tozai subway line and the Toyo Rapid Railway. Keisei Nishifuna Station lies to the north. With so many lines, look up the timetable for your own line home before the night begins.
The city's urban renewal plan describes the station area as one that urbanized rapidly after the war, with commercial land around the station, homes beyond it and a shopping street off the north exit. The area around Nishi-Funabashi Station is a restricted zone under the touting prevention ordinance Funabashi City brought into force on September 1, 2017.
