Urayasu, Gyotoku covers Urayasu City and the Gyotoku district in southern Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, both along the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.
Ichikawa City's profile lists three Tozai Line stations inside the city: Minami-Gyotoku, Gyotoku and Myoden. On the Urayasu side, directions to the city hall name Urayasu Station on the Tozai Line and Shin-Urayasu and Maihama stations on the JR Keiyo Line as the nearest stations.
Gyotoku was land held directly by the shogunate in the Edo period, and southern Ichikawa became a residential area of apartment blocks through land readjustment timed with the Tozai Line's opening. Urayasu City explains that its only railway was long the Tozai Line, until the Keiyo Line opened in 1988 and made the Nakamachi and Shinmachi areas far more convenient.

Ichikawa City's ordinance banning touting, in force since September 1, 2021, prohibits touting in public places and names Gyotoku, Minami-Gyotoku and Myoden among its designated districts. Shop premises are excluded, and ignoring an order can bring a non-penal fine of up to 50,000 yen.
