Also known as hakata-station-front
Hakata Station Front is the area centred on Hakata Station in Hakata-eki Chuo-gai, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka; the station is also the transfer point between the subway's Kuko and Nanakuma lines.
Fukuoka Airport says the Kuko Line reaches the domestic terminal from Hakata in about 5 minutes. JR Kyushu gives a fastest time of 32 minutes between Kumamoto and Hakata on the Kyushu Shinkansen, and 1 hour 20 minutes between Nagasaki and Hakata with a change at Takeo-Onsen. Kitakyushu's tourism site lists about 15 minutes by shinkansen from Hakata to Kokura.
The subway's station page gives Hakata Station's address as Hakata-eki Chuo-gai in Hakata Ward and presents it as the stop served by both the Kuko and Nanakuma lines. If listings are added for Hakata Station Front, this page will show them. The Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City page currently has none either, so follow the Fukuoka page to reach listings in the prefecture.
Fukuoka City's ordinance on preventing solicitation, luring and waiting for customers for adult-related businesses forbids those acts in public places such as streets, parks, plazas and stations. It is not limited to designated zones, so every public place in the city, the station front included, is covered.
