The shopping street near Sugamo Station is called 'Grandma's Harajuku,' bustling with elderly shoppers during the day. Step into the alleys, and you'll find old public baths and small eateries, preserving a nostalgic shitamachi atmosphere.

The area spreads around JR Yamanote Line's Sugamo and Komagome stations, and Toei Mita Line's Hakusan Station. Sugamo is inside the Yamanote loop, while Komagome and Hakusan are slightly outside, mainly residential.
