Tachikawa City/Hachioji City Area

Centered around Tachikawa and Hachioji stations, the adult entertainment district in western Tokyo has a local, down-to-earth vibe. Shops with modest signs line the multi-tenant buildings and back alleys near the stations. By day it's a normal commercial area, but at night neon lights up and salarymen and local men come by.

A few soaplands are scattered within a few minutes' walk from Tachikawa Station's north exit. Around Hachioji Station's south exit, delivery health and pink salons are concentrated. Both areas lack the flashiness of Shinjuku or Ikebukuro, offering a practical and calm atmosphere.

The core of the adult scene is soaplands and delivery health. Soaplands in Tachikawa are relatively affordable, starting from around ¥20,000 per hour. Delivery health in Hachioji typically costs around ¥10,000 for 30 minutes, plus hotel fee. Pink salons are popular among salarymen after work for a quick and easy experience.

SM clubs and erotic massage (ero esthe) can also be found in some areas, but they are few. Overall, the number of shops is limited, and new entries are rare, so options are not abundant. However, many shops have a homey atmosphere with many regular local customers.

Access is via JR Chuo, Nambu, and Ome lines. From Shinjuku, Tachikawa is about 30 minutes by rapid train, and Hachioji another 15 minutes. Visiting by car is possible, but parking is limited.

Weekday evenings are the best time to visit. Weekends get crowded with locals. English support is not expected, so if you don't speak Japanese, check with the shop in advance or use an interpreter service. Many shops are cash-only, so bring cash.
